Classic Mahjong
Sku
Regular price 399.00 ₪ A stunningly beautiful version of the classic Chinese Mahjong game (a game for 4 players), made of Samanya and rubber wood.
The roots of mahjong date back to the Tang Dynasty of China, thousands of years ago.
At first, the game was common only among the aristocracy, and the rules were kept secret until they spread, along with the game, to all levels of society.
The closest Western game to Mahjong is Rummy, as both involve selecting stones and throwing them with the aim of gaining maximum points by arranging stones in groups of three/four stones + pairs of stones until no single stones remain. These groups can be taken from the wall on the player's turn or completed by taking a capture stone (a stone that another player has thrown).
The players sit in places that represent the four directions of the sky: east, west, south, and north.
The order of participants in the game is managed clockwise: the player sitting on the east side first, then the one sitting on the south, and so on.
When the player manages to collect and complete a mahjong, he declares "over" and wins the round. After calculating the number of points he collected in the round, he continues to the next round.
There are two options for playing Mahjong: 4 rounds for a simple game or 16 rounds for a game.
Complex. When the round ends in a draw, the current round is restarted.
Today, there are many computer games called "Mah-Jong" that have been developed since 1986, when the computer game company "Activision" released "Shanghai", a game that revolved around removing pairs of painted tiles from a virtual tower of tiles, according to certain rules. This game and the games that followed it and maintained the same game rules have very few characteristics in common with the game of Mah-Jong, and are in fact versions of a game that is completely different from the original except for the tiles. These games have a number of other names and nicknames.
